Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nThe race for U. S. Senate is starting to heat up. Election Day is June
\n25th!
\nMassachusetts allows voters to vote by absentee ballot if you:
\n\u00b7 will be absent from your city or town on election day, and\/or
\n\u00b7 have a physical disability that prevents your voting at the polling<\/p>\n
place, and\/or
\n\u00b7 cannot vote at the polls due to religious beliefs.
\nYou must first apply for an absentee ballot. Applications for an
\nabsentee ballot are available here:
\nhttp:\/\/www.sec.state.ma.us\/ele\/elepdf\/absentee_ballot.pdf
\n . You may have an absentee ballot mailed to you or you may apply and
\nvote in one visit in person at the Town Clerk\u2019s Office (lower level
\nof Town Hall) during regular town hall business hours. Plan to visit
\nthe office as soon as possible; the Secretary of State recommends two
\nto three weeks before the election (meaning now!).
\nThe deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is noon on June 24th. To
\nbe counted, a completed ballot must be received by the time the polls
\nclose on Election Day, Tuesday, June 25th.<\/p>\n
