Hanover Boy Scouts are now headed to the National Scout Jamboree in
\nVirginia.<\/p>\n
WHAT: Two buses left Hanover today to take 80 local boy scouts and
\ntheir gear to the 2013 Boy Scout Jamboree in Virginia. <\/p>\n
WHEN: Left this morning with full police escort at 5:45 a.m. sharp<\/p>\n
WHY: To participate in the 2013 National Scout Jamboree, a gathering
\nof thousands of members of the Boy Scouts of America. The event is
\nheld every four years and is organized by the National Council of the
\nBoy Scouts of America. Scouts from all over the nation and world have
\nthe opportunity to attend. The 2013 National Jamboree is being held at
\nThe Bechtel Summit, situated in the wilds of West Virginia. The Summit
\nis a high adventure camp and center for the millions of youth and
\nadults involved in the Boy Scouts of America. The Summit offers many
\nactivities for youth participants and the 300,000 members of the
\ngeneral public who visit it. It is considered to be scouting at its
\nbest. Almost every National Jamboree has been visited by our
\ncounty\u2019s President.<\/p>\n
