Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nAbsentee ballot applications are now available in the Hanover Town
\nClerk\u2019s Office for all registered voters living in Hanover wishing
\nto vote by absentee ballot in the race to fill the vacancy on the
\nBoard of Selectmen. The election is being held Saturday, September
\n28th from 10:00 a.m. \u2013 2:00 p.m. Given the shortened hours, voters
\nmay need to vote by absentee ballot.
\nAbsentee ballot applications are for use by registered voters who are
\nunable to vote at the polls on Election Day due to:
\n1) Absence from the Town of Hanover during normal polling hours (10:00
\na.m. \u2013 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28); or
\n2) Physical disability preventing you from going to the polling place;
\nor
\n3) Religious belief;
\nOR
\nNon-registered voters who are:
\n1) A Massachusetts citizen absent from the state; or
\n2) An active member of the armed forces or merchant marines, their
\nspouse or dependent; or
\n3) A person confined in a correctional facility or a jail, except if
\nby reason of felony conviction.
\nApplications for absentee ballots must be received by noon on the day
\nbefore the election, in this case, by noon on Friday, September 27th.
