The Friends of the John Curtis Free Library will host an afternoon tea
\non Saturday, November 2, from 2:00\u20144:00 p.m., with Donna and Ron
\nLasko who will speak about the “Pleasures of Afternoon Tea.” The
\nLaskos are tea consultants who regularly provide events at the Windsor
\nTea Shop in Cohasset. Their program at the library will examine how
\nthe 5,000 year-old Chinese tea event evolved into the Japanese tea
\nceremony to become the afternoon tea of today. Learn everything you
\nneed to know about tea while being treated to the Lasko\u2019s own blend
\nof Courtship Tea and a selection of desserts. A custom-designed door
\nprize will be given to one lucky participant, and all can enjoy a
\nlarge interactive display from Donna’s collection. The cost of
\ntickets, largely subsidized by the Friends, is $5\/person (a
\nsignificant discount from the $35\/person cost for their programs at
\nother venues). This event is recommended for adults. Purchase your
\ntickets today at the children’s circulation desk\u2014tickets are limited
