*\u201cBasic Rights in Special Education: A Workshop for Parents\u201d*
\nPresented by Christine Riley of the Federation for Children with
\nSpecial Needs
\nTuesday, December 10, 2013
\n7 p.m. \u2013 9 p.m. at Hanover High School (First Floor) 287 Cedar
\nStreet, Hanover <\/p>\n
This workshop is designed to help parents learn to be effective
\npartners with their child\u2019s school to decide their child\u2019s
\neligibility for special education, to plan, make decisions and monitor
\ntheir child\u2019s progress in school. The Basic Rights workshop provides
\nfamilies with an introduction to their rights and responsibilities
\nunder the individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and
\nMassachusetts Special Education Law.<\/p>\n
PAC sponsored workshops are free and open to the public. Please note
\nthat all dates and topics are tentative and subject to change. Please
