Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nA Winter Wonderland Holiday Shopping and Tree Lighting Event will be
\nheld at Hanover\u2019s South Shore YMCA Emilson Branch on Sunday,
\nDecember 15, from 2-5 pm. This event is open to the public, costs
\n$2.00 per person, and will feature an assortment of local crafters and
\nvendors. All proceeds will benefit the YMCA.<\/p>\n
Shoppers will find a wide variety of incredible handmade goods at the
\nevent \u2013 ranging from jewelry, clothing, wreaths and sea-inspired
\ngifts to doll outfits, handmade hair accessories and specialty coffee
\nand tea. Local children\u2019s book author, Kate MacLeod Emery, will be
\nshowcasing her holiday book \/Muffy MacMouse and Christmas in the
\nVillage\/, among others.<\/p>\n
An array of activities will be going on during the event such as face
\npainting, hair braiding, photos and story time with Santa, a bake sale
\nand hot cocoa bar, gift wrapping, crafts, fun photo opportunities,
\nkids\u2019 gift making, and more. Raffle tickets will also be sold.<\/p>\n
A reading of \/The Polar Express\/ by Santa and a tree lighting ceremony
\ncomplete with caroling by Hanover High School students, will wrap up
\nthis magical evening.<\/p>\n
The Y strives to serve the entire community and provides financial
\nassistance to ensure every child, family and individual has the
\nopportunity to learn, grow and thrive through South Shore YMCA
\nmembership, programs and services.<\/p>\n
