\nWant to help bring Christmas cheer to 35 students from Cardinal
\nCushing Centers? Looking for an awesome Christmas gift, too?
\nEleven years ago a group of Hanover residents discovered that there
\nwere students who stayed at the school through the holidays. They
\ndecided to give these children a Christmas party to remember \u2013
\ncomplete with music, dancing, games, food and gifts handed out by
\nSanta himself.
\nThe tradition continues, and fundraising for the event now happens
\nyear-round. Last year for the first time, I ran an on-line auction to
\nhelp support their efforts. I am delighted to announce that an auction
\nwill be run again this weekend! This year, there are a couple of
\nluxury box Celtics tickets up for auction right here on \u201cAround Town
\non the Web\u201d \u2013 with 100% the proceeds going toward the Cardinal
\nCushing Centers party that will be held next week.
\nTwo luxury box tickets are available for the following game:

\nThe 2 seats have total face value of $500. For those who are
\nrelatively new to \u201cAround Town on the Web\u201d, here\u2019s how it works.
\nBidding will begin at half-price -$250 – at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday,
\nDecember 21st and will be accomplished simply by sending an e-mail to
\ncathyhb@atotw.com
\n . Once you enter a bid, you will be added to the distribution list
\nthat will keep you updated on the latest bid (as best as humanly
\npossible!). Bids will be accepted until exactly 5:00 p.m. on Sunday,
\nDecember 22nd. If two bids for the same amount are received, the
\nearlier bid will take precedence. So, it is to your advantage to bid
\nyour best price early. Bids received by me after 5:00 p.m. (computer
\nclock time) on Sunday will not be considered. So don\u2019t wait until it
\nis too late!
\nGift someone special with some terrific Celtics tickets and gift the
\nstudents at the Cardinal Cushing Centers with some Christmas spirit
\nall at the same time. If you are the winning bidder, your tickets will
\nbe delivered to you before Christmas. Mark your calendar and send your
\nbids to me at cathyhb@atotw.com
