Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nHanover High School administration, teachers and parents have
\ncollaborated to create a new idea for a college fair for Hanover High
\nSchools\u2019 seniors. It\u2019s called; *\u201cMy College Fair\u201d* and will
\ntake place on Friday, January 3rd at 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon at HHS. <\/p>\n
This e-mail is sent in hopes that your son or daughter \u2014 and recent
\nHanover High School graduate – would be interested in participating by
\njoining the fair at HHS on January 3rd. Your college student will
\nshare their personal experiences at their college with high school
\nstudents looking at options after graduation. HHS students will
\nbenefit from a more personal story from kids they may know and who are
\ncloser to their own age, rather than just talking with colleges\u2019
\nadmissions officers. The group is also hoping to compile a list of
\nstudents’ contact information to serve as a resource for our HHS
\nstudents in case they have follow up questions about a particular
\nuniversity, or perhaps need a connection if the student is planning a
\ntour or visit. To ensure the event is successful, the group hopes to
\nenlist 25-30 graduates, and they\u2019re hopeful your son\/daughter would
\nbe interested. Lunch and snacks will be provided for all graduates
\nparticipating that day.<\/p>\n
If you are the parent of a recent graduate, kindly ask your son or
\ndaughter if they\u2019d be interested in attending this event scheduled
\nfor Friday January 3rd, for one or both sessions, 9:00 a.m. and 12
\nnoon\/.\/ It would be ideal if they could proudly wear their school
\ncolors: t-shirt\/sweatshirt. No need to rehearse a speech; students
\nwill just like their honest opinion and personal experience and
\nperhaps a little background on their major and what led them to their
\nparticular school. The organizers will supply the grads with sample
\nquestions so they can have an idea of what students might be asking.<\/p>\n
