Where: Phoenix Lodge, on Broadway, near Washington Street<\/p>\n
The Walnut Hill Garden Club of Hanover invites interested members of
\nthe public to a free lecture and slide show, \u201cGet Ready for
\nSpring\u201d to be presented by Suzanne Mahler on Tuesday, evening,
\nFebruary 4at 7:15 p.m. at the Phoenix Masonic Lodge, Broadway and
\nWashington Streets.<\/p>\n
February is the perfect time to plan new gardens, research plants, and
\nget organized for the spring planting season. Suzanne\u2019s lecture will
\ncover spring pruning, garden themes, transplanting trees and shrubs,
\nand dividing perennials, plus a Q & A session. <\/p>\n
In-club expert Suzanne Mahler is an avid gardener, photographer and
\nlecturer who has been developing the 1.5-acre property surrounding her
\nhome in Hanover for more than 30 years. Her weekly gardening column
\n\u2018Green Thumbs Up\u2019 has appeared in GateHouse Media New England
\nnewspapers for more than a decade. She is a past president of the New
\nEngland Daylily Society, an overseer for the Massachusetts
\nHorticultural Society and is employed at a local garden center. Come
\nwith questions about your gardening problems and get advice from an
\nexpert.<\/p>\n
