Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nTown of Hanover residents are reminded that the 2014 \u201cStreet Listing
\nQuestionnaire\u201d, more commonly known as the town\u2019s census, has been
\nmailed to all households and needs to be returned as soon as possible
\nto the Town Clerk\/Board of Registrar\u2019s Office in Hanover Town Hall.
\nSenior Registrar Nancy Goldthwait noted that the census is important
\nfor a number of reasons. \u201cHanover Police and Fire Departments need
\nto know who is living in a residence so that they can respond
\nappropriately in case of an emergency, the correct tally of persons is
\nnecessary for voting purposes, and so that Hanover receives adequate
\nstate funding based on population,\u201d Goldthwait said.
\nTown Clerk and member of the Board of Registrars Cathy Harder-Bernier
\nadded, \u201cit is important that you promptly review your form, make
\nchanges as needed, and sign and return it to the Town
\nClerk\/Registrar\u2019s Office – *even* if all the information is correct.
\nForms may be returned by mail or dropped off at Town Hall. There is
\neven a mail slot in the front door of Town Hall that allows for
\nafter-hours drop-offs.\u201d
\n\u201cHelp the town to save on postage and avoid having to do a second
\nmailing to your home by returning your census today,\u201d said
\nGoldthwait.
