\/Park and Rec\/ is a memorable camp experience that has made a
\nsignificant impact in the lives of countless Hanover residents over
\nthe past 50 years. <\/p>\n
OUR PURPOSE To provide an inexpensive, age-appropriate opportunity for
\nall youth to experience outdoor recreation, both passive and active
\nwith their peers, all while creating great memories and new friends.
\nOUR PROGRAM The Park and Rec program consists of four sessions
\n(Session One is 1 week at $64, Sessions 2-4 are 2 weeks at $160). This
\nprogram is open to all in grades K-6. Each grade travels together to
\ndifferent stations every 55 minutes, these stations range from Arts
\nand Crafts to Floor Hockey to Tennis. Within each grade level 10- 14
\nchildren are assigned a counselor to guide them and provide activities
\nthroughout the day. The counselor groups are usually done
\nalphabetically and just for attendance purposes. The entire grade
\nplays together. Along with the counselors, the Parks and Recreation
\nDepartment also employs an Assistant Director and three Directors. The
\nDirectors provide services such as first aid help, weekly talent
\nshows, tournaments and arts and crafts. They also oversee all aspects
\nof camp including field trips, pizza days, t-shirt distribution as
\nwell as the normal day to day operations.
\nOUR PROMISE To do everything possible to allow all children to have
\nthe best possible summer by creating many opportunities for children
\nto have fun all summer long!<\/p>\n
\/Teen Extreme \/is an exciting unique experience for middle schoolers
\nbridging the gap between organized summer activities and field trips. <\/p>\n
OUR PURPOSE To provide an inexpensive, age-appropriate opportunity for
\nall middle schoolers to socialize and stay active during the summer.
\nOUR PROGRAM The Teen Extreme is a field trip based, exploration
\nprogram that consists of seven, 1 week sessions at $130 per
\nweek\/child. This program is open to all in 5th \u2013 8th grades. Each
\nweek, children travel to two new and exciting places across
\nMassachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. During Rec Center days
\nmany activities are offered by the staff however, the campers choose
\nwhether to participate or not.
\nOUR PROMISE To allow for fun age appropriate activities for the Middle
\nSchoolers of Hanover (and surrounding towns) to enjoy and experience
\neach week of the summer.<\/p>\n
\/Kids Klub\/ is an introductory program to get young children and
\nfamilies interested in Park and Rec summer activities and place where
\nfirst friends are made!
\nOUR PURPOSE To provide an inexpensive, age-appropriate opportunity for
\npotty trained 3-6 year olds to socialize and have fun with other
\nchildren their age. Kids Klub will serve as a \u201crecruitment tool\u201d
\nfor future Park and Rec participants and hopefully lifelong fans of
\nour summer programs.
\nOUR PROGRAM Kids Klub is a unique pre-k program that runs over the
\ncourse of 7 weeks. Session One is 1 week while Session Two, Three and
\nFour are 2 weeks. We offer two different options. Option 1) Three days
\na week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the Rec Center; Option 2)
\nadds Mondays and Wednesdays at the Pre-K Playground at B. Everett Hall
\n(Sylvester) Field. Both options start at 8:30 AM and continue until
\n12:30 PM. The children are divided into counselor groups to travel
\nwith their groups to different assigned stations.
\nOUR PROMISE We understand that for many children this may be the first
\ntime that they have been away from their parents for an extended
\nperiod of time. We promise that your children will enjoy themselves
\nwhile creating new friends in a fun and safe environment.<\/p>\n
