Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nAt 12 years old, life should be full of friends and fun. The biggest
\nworry kids should have to face is extra homework assignments or tests
\nto study for. For Hanover\u2019s Anthony Pierotti, diagnosed with
\nleukemia this January, his worries got a whole lot bigger. He has been
\nadmitted to Children’s Hospital in Boston and is undergoing intensive
\ntreatment, which is expected to take about 2 years to complete.
\nAnthony has an amazing medical team and is surrounded by family,
\nincluding his parents Jim and Brenda, twin brother Nick, and his
\nyounger brothers, Matt and Owen. They have a long road ahead and will
\nneed every bit of support they can get. We know the Pierottis can’t do
\nthis alone, but we also know their Hanover community would never let
\nthem!
\nA website, Hope for Anthony, was created to help community members
\noffer strength and support to Anthony and his family, and to provide a
\nway for the youngest members of our community, Anthony’s friends, to
\ntell him how much they care. It also details ways that we can support
\nthe family through various fundraising options, including donations,
\nAnthony Strong and Think + T-shirts, Anthony wristbands, and a link to
\na Meal Train site that organizes meal drop-offs for the family.
\nAttached please find images of some of the items that are being sold
\nto raise funds.
\nHanover Middle School will be having a “Stay Positive for Pierotti”
\nDay on March 14. They are encouraging students and staff to rally
\naround the Pierottis with a visible show of support, wearing one of
\nthe Anthony shirt options or something orange, the color most often
\nassociated with leukemia.

\nYou are encuoraged to send a message or upload an image to share. It’s
\nhard for cancer patients to endure their treatments and the long days
\nspent in the hospital; being surrounded by love and support can make
\nit a little bit easier. Keep sending Anthony well wishes and stories
