Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nJoin the Hanover Historical Society Wednesday, April 30th with our neighbor
\nNorwell Historical Society, as we will enjoy a program on the history of
\ntimekeeping given by Les Tyrala. Tyrala is a Quincy antique clock restorer
\nand historian. After the presentation, he will have an “Antiques Roadshow”-
\ntype session for people to bring in their clocks.<\/p>\n
Although Les is not an appraiser, he will give a running commentary about
\nthese clocks, their history, and general comments using trade journals and
\neBay to determine current values. If you wish to bring your own clock
\nplease make sure to unhook the pendulum bob before transporting and pack
\nwell to ensure the safety of the piece.<\/p>\n
Appetizers and Social Hour at 6:00 p.m., Dinner at 7:00 p.m., and Program
\nat 8:00 p.m. Dinner cost is $15. Roast pork dinner at Phoenix Lodge, 133
\nBroadway.<\/p>\n
Reservations are required and may be made by calling the Historical Society
\nat 781-826-9575 or e-mailing Hanoverhistoricalsociety@gmail.com on or
\nbefore April 28th. <\/p>\n
