{"id":2183,"date":"2014-04-30T18:00:12","date_gmt":"2014-04-30T22:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/atotw.com\/archive\/?p=2183"},"modified":"2014-04-30T18:00:12","modified_gmt":"2014-04-30T22:00:12","slug":"volunteers-wanted-for-habitat-for-humanity-local-partnership-committee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atotw.com\/archive\/?p=2183","title":{"rendered":"Volunteers wanted for Habitat for Humanity local partnership committee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n<p>South Shore Habitat for Humanity will hold an informational meeting on<br \/>\nWednesday, May 7th at 6:30 PM at the Riley Parish Hall, 547 Hanover Street<br \/>\nnext to the First Congregational Church in Hanover to discuss and implement<br \/>\nthe formation of a Local Partnership Committee (LPC) for the Hanover<br \/>\ncommunity.  As South Shore Habitat for Humanity looks forward to breaking<br \/>\nground on Center Street this spring, this session will inform and inspire<br \/>\npotential volunteers, local businesses and community leaders to get<br \/>\ninvolved in the continued building and fundraising efforts for this<br \/>\naffordable two home project. These two homes will bring the count to four<br \/>\nHabitat homes in Hanover.<\/p>\n<p>South Shore Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers to join the LPC<br \/>\nto help solicit financial contributions and sponsorships, as well as,<br \/>\nin-kind donations of building materials, skilled labor, and lunches for<br \/>\nvolunteers all needed to build these homes.  These donations help to keep<br \/>\nthe home affordable that will be sold to local families.  Anyone interested<br \/>\nin volunteering on the build site, helping with the fundraising effort or<br \/>\noutreaching into the community is welcome to join them on Wednesday, May 7,<br \/>\n2014 at 6:30 PM.  <\/p>\n<p>About South Shore Habitat for Humanity (SSHH)<br \/>\nSouth Shore Habitat for Humanity is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization<br \/>\ndedicated to building simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with<br \/>\nfamilies in need. SSHH is based in Weymouth and serves 35 cities and towns<br \/>\nsouth and southwest of Boston. Founded in 1986 as an independent, nonprofit<br \/>\norganization, SSHH works in partnership with families, volunteers,<br \/>\ncongregations, and community and business leaders to help local families<br \/>\nliving in inadequate housing move into simple, decent, affordable homes of<br \/>\ntheir own.
