Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
The Annual Town Election Day is this Saturday, May 10th. The polls are
\nopen from 8:00 a.m. \u2013 6:00 p.m. at Hanover High School. What\u2019s your
\nvoting strategy? When will you go to the polls given everything else you
\nneed to do on Saturday?<\/p>\n
On the ballot will be elections for:
\n\u2022\ttwo members of the Board of Selectmen for a three year term each,
\n\u2022\ttwo members of the School Committee for a three year term each,
\n\u2022\tthree members of the Housing Authority (one term for five years, one
\nterm for four years, and one term for three years),
\n\u2022\ttwo members of the Board of Assessors (one for a three year term and
\none for one year),
\n\u2022\tone member of the Planning Board for a five year term,
\n\u2022\tone Board of Health member for a three year term,
\n\u2022\tone member of the Board of Public Works for a three year term,
\n\u2022\tone Trustee of the Public Library for a three year term and
\n\u2022\tone Moderator for a one year term.<\/p>\n
Also appearing on the ballot is Question One regarding whether the Town
\nClerk\u2019s position should become an appointed (rather than elected)
\nposition. This question also appeared as a warrant article which failed to
\nwin approval at Town Meeting this past Monday night. <\/p>\n
