The first program will be held<br \/>\nWednesday June 25th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Stetson House Museum.<\/p>\n<p>The first program will be the Society&#8217;s third annual Rebecca Stetson 1786<br \/>\nTea. Guests will travel back in time to 1786, and imagine they are invited<br \/>\nby 10-year-old Rebecca Stetson to taste some historic recipes. They will<br \/>\nlearn about the culture of tea and trade in the maritime era.  Rebecca<br \/>\nStetson was an actual American girl who grew up in the Stetson House right<br \/>\nafter the American Revolution.  Guests will learn about the daily life in<br \/>\nHanover during the Era of the New Republic (1775-1830), and will have the<br \/>\nchance to have the name of a character of a real Hanoverian who lived in<br \/>\n1786!  Tea will be held on the grounds (weather permitting) or in their<br \/>\ninside the historic barn.<\/p>\n<p>The event is from 2:00 \u2013 4:00 p.m., June 25th. Please call 781-826-9575,<br \/>\nor e-mail Hanoverhistoricalsociety@gmail.com to reserve a spot. Seats are<br \/>\nlimited to 30 children per session, so please plan ahead! The program is<br \/>\nfree to the public (voluntary donations accepted).
