Bay State Textiles of Pembroke is<br \/>\npartnering with the Hanover Schools to rescue these resources from the<br \/>\ntrash, and will pay the schools $100 for every ton of outgrown sweaters,<br \/>\nold painter pants, unwanted stuffed animals, and other household<br \/>\n\u201csoft-wear\u201d.  <\/p>\n<p>Sheets, towels, coats, purses, belts, Bay State Textile wants it all: the<br \/>\ngood, the bad and the ugly.  They only ask that items be dry and reasonably<br \/>\nclean.<\/p>\n<p>Put your unwanted items in plastic bags, so they stay dry during their<br \/>\njourney to a second life as refurbished clothing and household linens,<br \/>\nwiping cloths, insulation, carpet padding, etc.  <\/p>\n<p>Hanover pays about $14,000 to dispose of the estimated half million pounds<br \/>\nof textiles discarded by residents each year.  That material could bring in<br \/>\n$27,000 in revenue if it\u2019s put in the Bay State Textile containers.<br \/>\nThere is also a BST trailer at the transfer station.
