\nThe Hanover Historical Society, in collaboration with the Hanover Garden
\nClub, is pleased to announce an upcoming event with local historian John
\nGalluzzo. Mr. Galluzzo will talk about “The History of Gardening in New
\nEngland.” He will compare how historic gardening practices were similar to
\nor different from modern day practices.<\/p>\n
John Galluzzo is Director of Education and Camping at the South Shore
\nNatural Science Center in Norwell. John has his bachelor’s in history from
\nthe University of Massachusetts Amherst. He has written over thirty books
\non local history topics. He is a regular contributor to South Shore Living
\nand Ships Monthly among others.<\/p>\n
The event is free and open to the public and will be held at the Hanover
\nSenior Center at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday July 17th. Light refreshments will
\nbe served courtesy of the Council on Aging.<\/p>\n
The Hanover Senior Center is located at 655 Center Street. Reservations
\ncan be made by calling the Hanover Senior Center 781-924-1913 or e-mailing
\ncoa@hanover-ma.gov .<\/p>\n
