Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nBelow please find a letter written by Rachel Lovett, Hanover Historical
\nSociety\u2019s Executive Director. It is printed here in its entirety, as
\nthere is much to share!<\/p>\n
\u201cOver the last two and a half years I formed many friendships here and in
\nHanover with some great memories, so it is with some sadness that I tell
\nyou I have accepted a position with a wonderful museum in Annapolis,
\nMaryland. I will be leaving at the end of the month to start this new
\nchapter of my life. I want to thank each one of you for making my time at
\nthe Hanover Historical Society memorable and I will always look back with
\nfondness at my time here.<\/p>\n
The Society has changed a lot in the last couple of years. We now have a
\nstrategic plan, new exhibits, and several public programs which attract
\ndiverse audiences. I know that the Society is on a good path for the
\nfuture, and I am confident it will be successful in the coming years
\npromoting and preserving Hanover’s history.<\/p>\n
The Society has named Aaron Dougherty as the new part time Interim
\nExecutive Director. Aaron is originally from Michigan but has been living
\nin New England since 2010 when he moved to Plymouth and accepted a job at
\nPlymouth Plantation as an interpreter. Aaron has worked in different
\ncapacities at Pilgrim Hall Museum, Boston Historical National Park, and
\nmost recently at the 1699 Historic Winslow House Museum and Cultural Center
\nin Marshfield where he is their part time interim Executive Director. Aaro<\/p>\n
