Making Friends with Farm Animals (Sponsored by Eastern Bank and the Hanover
\nHistorical Society)<\/p>\n
Join the Hanover Historical Society to get up close and personal with some
\ntraditional farm animals including chickens and rabbits. An educator from
\nSoule Homestead Organic Farm and Education Center will speak about these
\nanimals and how to care for them. The program will allow children to
\ninteract with the animals and learn what life was like on a farm in the mid
\n1800’s New England. Staff members will bring out items from the Society’s
\ncollection that connects with animal husbandry and care. Children will have
\nan opportunity to make and sample fresh dairy products such as butter,
\nmilk, and ice cream. From this program children will be able to appreciate
\nfarm animals and understand where products like eggs, milk, and ice cream
\ncome from.<\/p>\n
Program is free, but advanced reservations are required by Monday August
\n25th at 12 p.m. To make reservations, please call (781) 826-9575 or e-mail

\nProgram is held at the Hanover Historical Society headquarters, The Stetson
\nHouse Museum, 514 Hanover Street.<\/p>\n
