Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nState Representative Rhonda Nyman (D-Hanover) announced today that grants
\ntotaling $15,200 have been awarded to the cultural councils in Hanover,
\nNorwell and Rockland.
\nThe Massachusetts Cultural Council awarded these grants as part of their
\nmission to support the arts, sciences, and humanities, to improve the
\nquality of life in Massachusetts and its communities.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese grants are very important because they support events and
\nactivities that bring everyone in our community together,\u201d said
\nRepresentative Nyman. \u201cThey also support jobs in the non-profit
\nsector\u201d.<\/p>\n
The awarded grants include:<\/p>\n
Hanover Cultural Council – $4,300
\nNorwell Cultural Council – $4,250
\nRockland Cultural Council – $6,600<\/p>\n
The announcement was made as part of MCC\u2019s statewide funding program
\nwhich benefitted from a $1 million increase to its state appropriation
