Whether you met them at Hanover Day, at their Emergency Management Night
\nlast spring at the High School, at a club meeting, or heard about them from
\na friend or current team member, the CERT team is excited about getting to
\nknow you, and having you join their team. Please join them for: <\/p>\n
CERT Training
\nThursday, Sept. 18, 2014 7:00 pm
\nHanover Town Hall, Large Hearing Room, 1st floor
\n550 Hanover Street<\/p>\n
This 9 week program begins Sept 18 and will run consecutive Thursday
\nevenings ending on November 13. During this course you will learn about
\ndisaster preparedness for hazards found in our area; basic disaster
\nresponse skills including fire safety, light search and rescue; team
\norganization; and disaster medical operations.<\/p>\n
Upon completion of CERT training you will be better prepared to assist
\nothers in your neighborhood or workplace following an event when
\nprofessional responders are not immediately available to help. CERT
\nmembers are also encouraged to support emergency response agencies by
\ntaking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their
\ncommunity.<\/p>\n
