\nDo you have stuff that\u2019s too bad for the trash?<\/p>\n
South Shore Recycling Cooperative member towns will host household
\nhazardous waste collections this fall. <\/p>\n
Hanover\u2019s collection is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. \u2013 1:00 p.m. on October
\n4 at the Hanover Transfer Station, 118 Rockland Street. Residents may
\nparticipate for no charge. Commercial generators, call ahead to
\n1-617-852-3086 to arrange disposal and payment. <\/p>\n
Bring: Oil based paint, stains, solvents, gasoline, automotive fluids,
\npesticides, photography and pool chemicals, acids, bases, and poisons in
\nsecure, labeled containers.
\nDo not bring: industrial, pathological and medical waste, radioactive
\nmaterials, pressurized gas cylinders or explosives.
\nOil based paint, propane tanks, motor oil, antifreeze, medical sharps, auto
\n& rechargeable batteries, and fluorescent lamps are collected regularly by
\nsome towns and some retailers. Residents should use those services if
\navailable. Go to ssrcoop.info, click on \u201cOther Stuff\u201d.
\nLatex paint and driveway sealer are messy, but not hazardous. If not
\nrecyclable as described below, absorb liquid with cat litter and dispose in
\ntrash.
\nUsable leftover latex paint is accepted and recycled into new paint
\nproducts at The Paint Exchange LLC of North Scituate for a fee of $2\/can.

\nPSC Environmental will conduct the collections. <\/p>\n
