Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
Hanover Town Clerk Cathy Harder-Bernier announced that Wednesday, October
\n15th is the last day to register to vote in the upcoming State Election.
\nTown Hall will be open from 8:00 a.m. \u2013 8:00 p.m. on the 15th.<\/p>\n
Any Hanover citizen who will be eighteen on or before the Election Day is
\nencouraged to register to vote. Once registered, individuals will be
\neligible to vote in the State Election scheduled to be held on Tuesday,
\nNovember 4, 2014, and in elections thereafter.<\/p>\n
Citizens of Hanover may conveniently register to vote by mail or in person.
\nIf residents choose to register by mail they should download the
\n\u201cMassachusetts Mail-In Voter Registration Form\u201d from
\nwww.sec.state.ma.us and mail the completed form to the Hanover Town
\nClerk\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
If voters wish to register to vote in person, they may do so at two
\nconvenient locations: Hanover Town Hall or the Registry of Motor Vehicles.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe November gubernatorial race is an important one, and there are good
\nsolid contests all the way down the ballot. In addition, there are four
\ninitiative petition questions for voters to weigh in on. New residents and
\nhigh school students who have just turned 18 are particularly encouraged to
\nbe a part of the voting process. It\u2019s a sacred gift from our forefathers
\nin this democratic society,\u201d said Harder-Bernier.<\/p>\n
