This presentation will define types of shade and cover site<br \/>\nanalysis, cultural conditions, and soil amendments accompanied by colorful<br \/>\nimages of shade gardens and plants.  Learn which trees, shrubs, and<br \/>\nperennials tolerate low light while providing fabulous flowers and foliages<br \/>\nfor a peaceful shady retreat.<\/p>\n<p>February is the perfect time to plan new gardens, research plants, and get<br \/>\norganized for the spring planting season. <\/p>\n<p>In-club expert Suzanne Mahler is an avid gardener, photographer and<br \/>\nlecturer who has been developing the 1.5-acre property surrounding her home<br \/>\nin Hanover for more than 30 years. Her weekly gardening column \u2018Green<br \/>\nThumbs Up\u2019 has appeared in Gate House Media New England newspapers for<br \/>\nmore than a decade. She is a past president of the New England Daylily<br \/>\nSociety, an overseer for the Massachusetts Horticultural Society and is<br \/>\nemployed at a local garden center. Come with questions about your gardening<br \/>\nproblems and get advice from an expert.<\/p>\n<p>Seating is limited.
