Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
Hanover Town Clerk Cathy Harder-Bernier announced this week that nomination
\npapers are available in her office for the Annual Town Election scheduled
\nto be held May 9th, 2015.<\/p>\n
\u201cElection Day is set for May 9th and signed nomination papers are due
\nMarch 23rd. I heartily encourage my fellow citizens to consider running
\nfor office and become more involved in our terrific small town,\u201d
\nHarder-Bernier said.<\/p>\n
On the ballot this spring will be elections for two members of the Board of
\nSelectmen for a three year term each, two members of the School Committee
\nfor a three year term each, one member of the Housing Authority for a five
\nyear term, one member of the Board of Assessors for a three year term, one
\nmember of the Planning Board for a five year term, one Board of Health
\nmember for a three year term, three members of the Board of Public Works
\nfor a one, two or three year term each, one Trustee of the Public Library
\nfor a three year term and one Moderator for a one year term.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith 13 seats on the ballot, there is room for interest on the part of
\nmany people from all corners of Hanover. Come pick up a set of nomination
\npapers today!\u201d said Harder-Bernier. Interested residents are encouraged
\nto contact the Town Clerk\u2019s Office, any of the related departments, or
\nsitting members of the board or committee they are interested in becoming a
\npart of in order to gain more information about an open position. <\/p>\n
To run for office, candidates only need to obtain 50 signatures of
\nregistered Hanover voters in order to be placed on the ballot. Candidates
\nfor office have until Monday, March 23rd to submit the signed nomination
\npapers to the Registrar\u2019s Office for signature certification. Attached
