Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n

I got the greatest phone call today from a very long-time
\nHanover resident who regularly receives and reads “Around Town on the Web”. 
\nIt was even better that she called me on the phone despite our fast-paced
\nsound-bite e-mail world; it was a pleasure to actually hear her sincere and
\nheartfelt concern for her neighbors and friends in Hanover.  She was very distressed
\nbecause of a change in a Registry of Motor Vehicles policy that will affect all
\nof us who live in Hanover (and Massachusetts).  Please consider this yet
\nanother “Around Town on the Web community service message”, with
\nthanks to Peggy!<\/p>\n

I did a little digging on-line after our phone call and
\nfound the following from a RMV press release.  Did you know that –<\/p>\n

“The
\nRMV will eliminate courtesy notices that are sent to customers for the
\nfollowing services:<\/p>\n

License and Mass ID renewal notices<\/span>
\n Vehicle Inspection reminder
\n letters for vehicles that are overdue for inspection<\/span>
\n Inspector license renewal notices
\n 7D license renewal notices<\/span>
\n Driver’s Education Certificates<\/span>
\n Junior Operator Brochures
\n for parents<\/span>
\n Change of address labels<\/span>”<\/p>\n

Bottom line advice from Peggy – check your license
\nrenewal date before it is too late, because the RMV is not going to remind you to

There’s a lot I appreciate about Hanover.  Our
