Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
Hanover Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier announced that Tuesday, April
\n14th is the last day to register to vote in the upcoming Annual Town
\nMeeting and Annual Town Election. The Town Clerk\/Registrar\u2019s Office will
\nbe open from 8:00 a.m. \u2013 8:00 p.m. on the 14th.<\/p>\n
Any Hanover citizen who will be eighteen on or before Election Day,
\nSaturday May 9th, is encouraged to register to vote on that day. Citizens
\nmay conveniently register to vote by mail or in person. If residents choose
\nto register by mail they should download the \u201cMassachusetts Mail-In Voter
\nRegistration Form\u201d from www.sec.state.ma.us and mail the completed form
\nto the Hanover Town Clerk\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
If voters wish to register to vote in person, they may do so at two
\nconvenient locations: Hanover Town Hall or the Registry of Motor Vehicles.<\/p>\n
\u201cI firmly believe that your vote never counts more than at a local
\nelection. Handfuls of residents have decided scores of town races over the
\nyears, and those same newly elected officials have a direct impact on our
\ndaily lives. New residents and high school students who have just turned
\n18 are particularly encouraged to be a part of the voting process. It\u2019s
\na sacred gift from our forefathers in this democratic society,\u201d said
\nHarder-Bernier.<\/p>\n
