The Hanover Historical Society and members of the First Congregational
\nChurch of Hanover will present a history of the Church on Friday, April 24.
\n The Church traces its origins to the founding of the Town of Hanover in
\n1727. Hear how the Church served as a meeting house for the Town for the
\nfirst 100 years and that during the Revolutionary War the Town supply of
\ngunpowder was stored in the Church. Come to the presentation and learn
\nabout these interesting facts and more. <\/p>\n
The presentation is free and open to the public at the First Congregational
\nChurch, 547 Hanover Street. A social hour with light refreshments will be
\nheld in the Church Vestry (first floor) from 6 \u2013 7:00 p.m. with the
\npresentation in the Sanctuary at 7:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
