Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
I always leave our Memorial Day parade thankful…for our brave veterans,
\ndevoted public safety officers, talented high school musicians, the
\ningenuity of antique cars, and for our spirited community, among countless
\nother things. Memorial Day is genuinely a time to honor community
\nservants, especially those who have given so much.<\/p>\n
In that vein, I write to offer you a chance to be a small but important
\npart of that community service. Every year, sometimes two or three or even
\nfour times a year, Hanover goes to the polls to select our elected
\nofficials. This coming fiscal year, we will choose our Presidential
\nnominees from each party on Super Tuesday in March of 2016, and then our
\nHanover town officials in May of 2016. All of that leads up to the
\nSeptember State Primary and November General Election in the following
\nfiscal year.<\/p>\n
The right to vote was given to us by our forefathers and guaranteed to us
\nby the men and women who marched in that parade today. But the gift of
\nElection Day does not just magically happen. There is a great deal of work
\nthat goes on behind the scenes and on the day of the election itself.
\nWould you like to be a part of implementing that gift? Would you consider
\nplaying an important role in our democracy by working at the polls? <\/p>\n
Your town needs you! Please see the attached job postings and consider
\napplying today. Appointments are on a yearly basis and applications are
\ndue June 15th. Training information will be provided to successful
