Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
With the 10th Annual Hanover Day behind us, I thought I would take a moment
\nto \u201cshout out\u201d to all of the hardworking volunteers who made up the
\nHanover Day Committee this past year and thank them for their tremendous
\nefforts on behalf of the arts and our community.<\/p>\n

Thank you also to the members of the Hanover Cultural Council who have been
\nvery supportive of the event. In Katie Duff\u2019s words, \u201call of these
\npeople have worked tirelessly to bring all of the elements needed to run
\nthe event together. This included fundraising, publicity, food and vendor
\ncoordination, volunteers and more. This event would not be able to take
\nplace without the dedication, patience and commitment that this team has.
\nI am proud to be involved, not only with this fun event, but with this
\nwonderful group of enthusiastic people. We are happy to be able to give
\nthe money we raise at Hanover Day back to the community through grants from
\nthe Hanover Cultural Council. We are always looking for more volunteers
\nwho are interested in helping out with jobs both large and small. If

And, as someone who works every day in town, I would like to also add that
\ncountless town employees \u2013 police officers, firefighters, DPW staff,
\nhealth inspectors, COA breakfast planners, Park and Rec staff,
\nSelectmen\u2019s Office staff (and surely others I don\u2019t even know about)
\n\u2013 worked hard behind the scenes and on the day of the event, thereby
\nensuring that everything orchestrated by these amazing Hanover Day
\nvolunteers ran safely and smoothly. Thanks, good colleagues.<\/p>\n
It was quite a couple of days, and we have a lot to be proud of here in
\nHanover. As a friend of mine said to me as we sat and watched the
\nfireworks, \u201cthis is an awesome day to live in Hanover. All of my friends
\nfrom ____ are moving down here because of days like this!\u201d <\/p>\n
Simply put, thanks to everyone involved for bringing our community
\ntogether.<\/p>\n
