Teen and Adult Events for the John Curtis Free Library for the week of

All programs are free of charge and are held at the John Curtis Free

Monday August 10, 2015 10:30 a.m. Movie Matinee Monday
\nState Fair (1945)
\nFarm family Frake, with discontented daughter Margy, head for the Iowa
\nState Fair. As the fair proceeds, so do the romances; must lovers separate
\nwhen the fair closes? Snacks will be served.<\/p>\n
Monday August 10, 2015 2:00 p.m. Makerspace Monday for Teens
\nLet your creativity and imagination drive you! Take your time and learn
\nabout some new skills and craft ideas. Some of the possible program tasks
\ninclude: Duct Tape, 3D Pen, Crayon Sculpture, String Dolls, Woodburning,
\nMakey Makey. Multiple activities will be offered during each program
\nsession. Snacks provided.<\/p>\n
Tuesday August 11, 2015 2:00 p.m. Teen BookTalk
\nFor six weeks the library will be hosting an open book discussion group for
\nteens. The group will discuss any books, blogs, or any reading they\u2019ve
\ndone while enjoying some snacks.<\/p>\n
Tuesday August 11, 2015 6:30 p.m. Teen Yoga
\nJoin yoga instructor Becky Paul for a one hour session for teens ages
\n12-18. Mats will be provided or you can bring in your own.<\/p>\n
Friday August 14, 2015 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. STAR WARS DAY
\nMay the force be with you at the John Curtis Free Library\u2019s Star Wars
\nDay. Snacks, crafts, raffle prizes, and more! No registration is required.
\nOpen to Teens and Children. First 10 to arrive in full costume will
\nreceive a free gift. <\/p>\n
Friday August 14, 2015 6:30 p.m. Board Game Night
\nBring your favorite board games or play with ours. An evening of
\nsocializing, snacks, and fun. Open to patrons 18+. <\/p>\n
