The Walnut Hill Garden Club of Hanover invites interested members of the
\npublic to a free lecture, \u201cClassic Designs for Contemporary Gardens\u201d to
\nbe presented by Warren Leach, award winning Horticulturalist and Landscape
\nDesigner, on Tuesday, evening, October 6 at 7:15 p.m. at the Phoenix
\nMasonic Lodge, Broadway and Washington Streets, Hanover. <\/p>\n
Our everyday lives offer many examples of classic design principles that
\nmay not always be plainly revealed but can be easily unveiled. Landscape
\ndesigner Warren Leach will explore these timeless principles of artistic
\ncomposition, from a classic Chinese scholar\u2019s garden, to an 18th century
\nAmerican landscape, to 19th century paintings and more, showing basic
\ndesign connections and offering suggestions for translating these elements
\nto your own gardens and landscapes. Admired speaker, educator,
\nhorticulturist, and owner of Tranquil Lake Nursery in Rehoboth, MA, Warren
\nhas won numerous awards for his exceptional designs from the National
\nLandscape Association and a Gold Medal from the MA Horticultural Society.<\/p>\n
