In partnership with Cardinal Cushing Centers in Hanover,<br \/>\nthe Young Athlete program will bring developmentally appropriate active<br \/>\nplay to families on the South Shore. Special Olympics Young Athletes\u2122 is<br \/>\na unique sport and play program for children with intellectual and<br \/>\ndevelopmental disabilities. The focus is on fun activities that are<br \/>\nimportant to mental and physical growth. Through the program children<br \/>\nbetween the ages of two and seven years-old will be introduced to games and<br \/>\nactivities designed develop motor skills and hand-eye coordination. <\/p>\n<p>About the local program leadership:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022  Cardinal Cushing Centers provides individuals with intellectual<br \/>\ndisabilities and autism spectrum disabilities of all ages opportunities to<br \/>\ndiscover the benefits of a supportive and vibrant community. The children learn new things, play and have lots of fun!<br \/>\nParents say their children in Young Athletes also develop better social<br \/>\nskills.
