Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
Hanover Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier announced that Wednesday,
\nFebruary 10th is the last day to register to vote or change your party
\nstatus for the upcoming Presidential Primary. Town Hall will be open from
\n8:00 a.m. \u2013 8:00 p.m. on the 10th.<\/p>\n
Any Hanover citizen who will be eighteen on or before the Election Day is
\nencouraged to register to vote. Once registered, individuals will be
\neligible to vote in the Presidential Primary scheduled to be held on
\nTuesday, March 1st, 2016, and in elections thereafter. Any resident who is
\nunsure of their party affiliation, or who would like to change their party
\nstatus, is also encouraged to act immediately and before the February 10th
\ndeadline.<\/p>\n
Citizens of Hanover may conveniently register to vote or change their party
\nstatus on-line, by mail or in person. The link for on-line registration is
\nhere: https:\/\/www.sec.state.ma.us\/OVR . If residents choose to register
\nby mail they should download the \u201cMassachusetts Mail-In Voter
\nRegistration Form\u201d found here :

\ncompleted form to the Hanover Town Clerk\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
If voters wish to register to vote in person, they may do so at two
\nconvenient locations: Hanover Town Hall or the Registry of Motor Vehicles.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith four political parties and therefore four ballots at the polls,
\nresidents are strongly encouraged to check their party status before
\nFebruary 10th,\u201d said Town Clerk Harder-Bernier. According to Secretary
\nof the Commonwealth William Francis Galvin, \u201cWhen you register to vote,
\nyou may choose to enroll in a political party or political designation or
\nmay choose to remain \u2018unenrolled,\u2019 which is commonly referred to as
\nindependent\u2026if you enroll in any of (the) four parties you may only vote
\nin that party\u2019s primary.\u201d<\/p>\n
