Do you have stuff that\u2019s too bad for the trash?<\/p>\n
South Shore Recycling Cooperative will host a household hazardous waste
\ncollection in Hanover this spring. Residents may attend at no charge. <\/p>\n
Collection is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. \u2013 1:00 p.m. as follows:
\n4\/30 Hanover, at Transfer Station, 118 Rockland Street (Rt. 139). Usable
\nlatex paint* also accepted.
\nCommercial generators, call ahead to 1-617-852-3086 to arrange disposal and
\npayment. Please bring a check.<\/p>\n
Bring: Oil based paint**, stains**, automotive fluids**, solvents,
\ngasoline, herbicides, pesticides, photography and pool chemicals, acids,
\nbases, and toxins in secure, labeled containers. <\/p>\n
*Usable leftover latex paint will be accepted. The Paint Exchange LLC also
\naccepts it at their Rockland site for a fee of $2\/can, and remanufactures
\nit into new paint. To see if your paint qualifies, and for hours of
\noperation, go to ssrcoop.info\/, click on \u201cLatex Paint\u201d, or call
\n339-214-8462. If paint has been frozen, or has an odor, skin or chunks,
\nabsorb liquid with cat litter and dispose in trash. <\/p>\n
Do not bring: industrial, pathological and medical** waste, radioactive
\nmaterials, pressurized gas cylinders** or explosives. <\/p>\n
**Oil based paint, propane tanks, motor oil, antifreeze, medical sharps,
\nrechargeable batteries, and fluorescent lamps are collected regularly by
\nmany towns and retailers. Residents should use those services if
\navailable. Go to ssrcoop.info, click on \u201cOther Stuff\u201d.<\/p>\n
Stericycle Environmental will conduct the collection. For more
