Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I don’t necessarily see “Around Town on the Web”
\nas a job search service, but every now and then a job opening pops up that
\nwould provide a service to our community and that bears mentioning.  Jobs
\nfor young people in the Parks and Rec program were one such recent example –
\nnot only do they employ Hanover’s own, but those jobs then serve the one
\nof our most precious resources, Hanover’s children.<\/p>\n

My most recent job opening find is at the South Shore YMCA
\nat Mill Pond right here in Hanover.  A year and a half ago the Y launched
\nthe Partnership Program, which pairs people with disabilities with volunteers
\nwho follow an exercise program designed by an in-house trainer.  The
\nprogram has filled a niche in the community that was sorely needed, and the disabled
\nof Hanover (and surrounding communities) have benefitted immensely.  It is
\nthe Partnership Program Coordinator role that is now available.  The job

Please forward this e-mail to anyone you think might be
\ninterested.  I previously joked about the Park and Rec jobs as being a
\nlittle economic stimulus program right here in Hanover.  This is so much
\nmore than that.  A vulnerable segment of our community needs the right
\nperson to step up to the plate and continue the Partnership Program at the Y.<\/p>\n
