The Hanover Garden Club invites the community to “Spring into Summer” with
\na fashion show at 1:30, Thursday, May 19. The venue is the Clubhouse at the
\nElms, 68 American Elms Drive in Hanover. The event will feature the unique
\nstyles of Chico’s from the Derby Street Shoppes. In addition to the
\nfashion show, there will be drawings for items created by local craftsmen.
\nLight refreshments will be served. Tickets are on sale now for $20.00 per
\nperson.<\/p>\n
Proceeds from the event will support community beautification,
\nconservation, and education by the Hanover Garden Club. Founded in 1929,
\nthe Hanover Garden Club has a long-standing history of service to the town.
\n Victory Gardens during World War II, cherry trees planted along Route 139,
\nplanting and maintenance of traffic islands, herb gardening at the historic
\nStetson House, and establishment of scholarships are only a few examples.<\/p>\n
With the “Spring into Summer” event, the Hanover Garden Club is pleased to
\npartner with Chico’s, well-known nationwide fashion boutiques. From one
\nsmall boutique in Sanibel Island Florida, Chico’s has evolved since 1983
\ninto over 700 shops throughout America. The hallmarks of great style,
\none-of-a-kind details, and warm, personal service have made Chico’s a
\nfavorite with women who value flattering designs and quality clothing. The
\nHanover Garden Club looks forward to showcasing Chico’s new collection for
\nspring and summer.<\/p>\n
