The Hanover Fire Department welcomes local families to a free Open House on
\nSaturday, May 21 from 9:00 a.m. \u2013 1:00 p.m. The Open House, sponsored by
\nPapa Gino\u2019s, is aimed at teaching families fire safety and prevention
\npractices. The Hanover Fire Department Open House will be held at 32
\nCenter Street.<\/p>\n
This open house commemorates National EMS Week. Participants will receive
\nsafety tips such as \u201cstop, drop, cover, and roll\u201d, learn how to plan
\nescape routes and how to crawl safely through a smoke-filled room. In
\naddition, Papa Gino\u2019s will provide free pizza and children\u2019s fire
\nsafety coloring sheets at the open house.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis event allows us to reach out to the community and arm local
\nfamilies with fire safety tips and procedures,\u201d said Chief Jeffrey
\nBlanchard. \u201cOur Open House allows families to get together and better
\nprepares them to react if a fire does start.\u201d<\/p>\n
