Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n

I
\nwould much rather hide behind my keyboard than allow the following e-mail to be
\nsent publicly.  It is quite possibly the most difficult e-mail I have sent
\nin the five year history of “Around Town on the Web”!  However,
\nI am<\/i> grateful for and humbled by it, and besides, Paul Hayes might break
\nmy arm if I don’t allow it to be sent.  <\/span>J<\/span>  I have therefore momentarily
\nrelinquished “ATOTW” to the Spirit of Hanover Community Service
\nAward Committee, per the following request:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Below
\nplease find the press release announcing the recipient of the 2009 Spirit
\nof Hanover Community Service Award.  <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

As
\nwe have done since ATOTW was established, the Committee has used ATOTW
\nto solicit nominations and to announce the recipient.  We would
\nlike to do so again this year because we know that many residents of Hanover
\nrely on ATOTW for current information.  While this is a testament to the
\nfact that ATOTW has become an entity unto itself and to its importance as
\na communication tool, the Committee realizes that it is asking
\nthe 2009 recipient of the Award to publish the announcement.  We can
\nappreciate the fact that this would be awkward for you personally and as editor
\nof ATOTW.  <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

If
\npossible, on behalf of the Committee, we are asking you to please temporarily
\nyield ATOTW to the Spirit of Hanover Committee Service Award Committee for the
\npurpose of making the following announcement.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Spirit of Hanover Community Service
\nAward Committee is proud to announce that CATHERINE G. HARDER-BERNIER has been
\nselected as the recipient of the 8th Annual Spirit of Hanover
\nCommunity Service Award.<\/span><\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

This Award is presented annually to an
\nindividual who best exemplifies the spirit of Hanover by voluntarily giving
\nselflessly of their time, energy and talent to the Town and its citizens thus
\nenriching our lives, fostering a true sense of community and inspiring us all
\nto a higher level of service.<\/span><\/p>\n
