Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
Some of you reading this e-mail have been waiting for this question to be
\nput back on a warrant for 14 years. Others of you are reading about this
\nproject for the first time. Regardless of your perspective, this Monday’s
\nSpecial Town Meeting is an important milestone in our town’s legislative
\nhistory that deserves your attention today.<\/p>\n
Most importantly, the Special Town Meeting will be held at Hanover High
\nSchool on Monday, September 26th beginning at 7:00 p.m. You are encouraged
\nto get there 15-30 minutes early so that parking will be easy and check-in
\nlines will move smoothly. Further, members of the HHS National Honor
\nSociety and the HHS Student Council will be providing free childcare
\nbeginning at 6:30 p.m. and lasting until the meeting is over for those who
\nneed it. Meet them in the Media Center on the first floor of the high
\nschool. Everyone – please get there in plenty of time and help us to avoid
\ncheck-in lines at 6:55 p.m.!<\/p>\n
On the warrant is a brief “prior year bills” question, followed by the
\nlong-awaited override question for the Center School addition project.

\n. The Advisory Committee met Thursday night and their affirmative
\nrecommendation on Article Two and related commentary is attached to this
\ne-mail.<\/p>\n
Become an informed voter! There is quite a bit of information out there
\nthat you can read or watch in order to become informed about the project.

Additionally, there is a Municipal Ballot Question Committee that has been
\nformed recently and that is actively supporting the project. Their website
\nmay be found here: http:\/\/www.yestohanoverschool.com\/ . I am not
\ncurrently aware of an organized group advocating against the project, but
\nthere has been some confusion regarding the “No on 2” Charter School signs
\nthat are already up in anticipation of the November ballot question.<\/p>\n
Remember that this is a two-part vote – first on Monday, September 26th,
\nfollowed by a vote at the polls on Saturday, October 1st. More details
\nabout Saturday October 1st will follow in this space after Monday September
\n26th’s Special Town Meeting. See you there!<\/p>\n
