Hanover Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier announced today that the Town
\nof Hanover has received a $1,000 grant from the Secretary of the
\nCommonwealth\u2019s Elections Division as part of the 2016 Early Voting
\nWeekend Hours Incentive Grant program.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Secretary of the Commonwealth has made both the grant application
\nprocess as well as early voting weekend hours easy on cities and towns in
\nthe Commonwealth. I am delighted that I was able to apply for and accept
\nthis award on behalf of the Town of Hanover, and even more excited to begin
\nthe early voting period very shortly,\u201d said Town Clerk Harder-Bernier.<\/p>\n
Early voting in Hanover begins Monday, October 24, 2016 and goes through
\nFriday, November 4th. It is open to all registered voters in Hanover, and
\nwill be held in the first floor hearing room of Hanover Town Hall during
\nthe following days and times during that two week period:
\n\u2022\tMondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. \u2013 4:00 p.m.
\n\u2022\tWednesdays from 8:00 a.m. \u2013 8:00 p.m.
\n\u2022\tFridays from 8:00 a.m. \u2013 12 noon
\n\u2022\tSaturday, October 29th from 9:00 a.m. \u2013 1:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
According to Michelle Tassinari, Director and Legal Counsel of the
\nElections Division, grants are designed \u201cto expand voting
\nopportunities\u201d\u2026(and are) \u201cbased on the number of registered voters in
\n(the) municipality and the amount of hours (the town) has agreed to open
\nfor early voting during the weekend of October 29th.\u201d<\/p>\n
