Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
Cardinal Cushing Centers is accepting new participants in their Culinary
\nArts Program Pathways to Employment. The goal of the Pathways to Employment
\nprogram is to prepare individuals with intellectual disabilities for a
\ncareer in food services, using Cardinal Cushing’s full service kitchen as a
\ntraining site during after-school hours. <\/p>\n
The program is open to individuals currently supported by Cardinal Cushing
\nCenters as well as community members who are not currently affiliated with
\nthe organization. As participants progress through the 12 week semester,
\nthey will be continuously evaluated on their abilities, strengths and
\nopportunities for improvement. The program will conclude with an
\ninternship for those participants who are deemed ready by the instructor.
\nAll program participants will receive a certificate of program completion;
\nthose participants who have the ability to sit for an exam will take the
\nNational Serve Safe Test.<\/p>\n
The next session will begin February 7th, and sessions take place Tuesday
\nand Thursday afternoons from 3:30 to 5:45 p.m. For more information, please

\nover 600 individuals of all ages, with the goal of helping each student and
\nadult to become included and independent members of society. Programs
\ninclude, among others, affordable housing, community programs, education,
\nemployment training, recreational, therapeutic, and residential services.<\/p>\n
