This just in from the Town Manager, in response to a recent ATOTW post
\nabout the funding of Hanover Day:<\/p>\n
“Three years ago, we established a line in the operating budget and pay
\nmost of the staff\/public safety costs for the event that used to be paid
\nfrom the day\u2019s proceeds, allowing for most of the funding to go to the
\ngood work of the cultural council. The day is a partnership between the
\nHanover Day Committee and the town.”<\/p>\n
Thanks for the clarification, Troy! I am sure the new chair of the Hanover
\nDay Committee meant no disrespect to the Town in her submission.<\/p>\n
