Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
Hanover Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier announced that Tuesday, April
\n11th is the last day to register to vote at the Annual Town Meeting and in
\nthe Annual Town Election. Town Hall will be open from 8:00 a.m. \u2013 8:00
\np.m. on Tuesday the 11th. Interestingly, Friday, April 14th is the last
\nday to register to vote in the Special Town Meeting that is also scheduled
\nfor Monday, May 1st. Town Hall will be open until 8:00 p.m. on that Friday
\nnight, too.<\/p>\n
Any Hanover citizen who will be eighteen on or before the first day of Town
\nMeeting (May 1st) or by the Town Election (May 6th) is encouraged to
\nregister to vote. Once registered, individuals will be eligible to vote in
\nall elections thereafter. Further, residents may \u201cpre-register\u201d to
\nvote if they are age 16 or 17, but they will not be eligible to vote until
\nthey turn 18.<\/p>\n
Citizens of Hanover may conveniently register to vote or change their party
\nstatus on-line, by mail or in person. The link for on-line registration is
\nhere: https:\/\/www.sec.state.ma.us\/OVR . If residents choose to register
\nby mail they should download the \u201cMassachusetts Mail-In Voter
\nRegistration Form\u201d found here:

\ncompleted form to the Hanover Town Clerk\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
If voters wish to register to vote in person, they may do so at two
\nconvenient locations: Hanover Town Hall or the Registry of Motor Vehicles.<\/p>\n
\u201cNew residents and high school students are strongly encouraged to
\nregister to vote. It is the cornerstone of our democracy!\u201d said Town
\nClerk Catherine Harder-Bernier. \u201cSeveral major decisions have been made
\non Town Meeting floor by a one-vote margin and local elections have turned
\non less than 10 votes just in the past few years. Register now to
\nvote\u2026so you can vote in May!\u201d<\/p>\n
