\nbe useful in the office you are seeking.<\/p>\n
Being a tax payer and a parent with children in the schools, I have a
\nvested interest in making Hanover Schools the very best place for educating
\nour children.<\/p>\n
I have my law degree and have devoted my practice to helping others –
\nincluding working for the Legal Assistance Corporation in the Family Law
\nUnit and my current work in private practice.<\/p>\n
Since moving to Hanover, I have been very involved in our town and schools.
\n I am a den mom for the cub scouts, I teach CCD, and volunteer to help in
\nthe schools with the yearbook and talent show. I am an active board member
\nof the Hanover Club. <\/p>\n
I have been a member of the school committee for the last three years. On
\nthe school committee I have chaired the reconfiguration subcommittee and
\nthe special education subcommittee. I am also a member of the Center
\nSchool Building Committee. I have a valuable understanding of the role
\nof our schools in the town, as well as the importance of strong
\nrelationships between school and town officials. <\/p>\n
What are the major issues confronting the town which involve your office?
\nPlease express your opinion on these issues and how you propose to deal
\nwith them.<\/p>\n
There is a great deal of public trust when electing members to school
\ncommittee. Hanover has been very fortunate to have amazing committee
\nmembers who have guided Hanover in a positive direction; I want to continue
\nthis trajectory. The committee has a good working relationship with the
\nSuperintendent. We communicate well with each other and the members of the
\nschools administration. <\/p>\n
I have been working for the last five years on the Center School Project.
\nI want to see this project through the next phase. It will be a showpiece
\nof Hanover and a valuable resource for all of Hanover\u2019s children. <\/p>\n
Why are you running for this office?<\/p>\n
Like many parents, the quality of our school system was one of the main
\nreasons my husband, Michael, and I have decided to raise our children here.
\nI am running reelection because I am committed to continuing our tradition
\nof academic excellence in Hanover. We have been fortunate to have school
\nsystem and school committee that has strong track record of leadership and
\nI would like to continue in that tradition.<\/p>\n
