Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
The Postal Workers’ Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is almost here
\nagain! It will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017. There will be a
\ncombination of food drive volunteers and postal service workers making the
\nrounds. The Hanover Food Pantry is in serious need of volunteers on that
\nday again this year. What better way to support residents of our town in
\nneed? Please consider volunteering at the food pantry! It is also a great
\nway for those who need service hours to accrue some time for a good cause.<\/p>\n
The good folks at the Hanover Food Pantry need:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Drivers and gatherers (beginning as early as 10:30 a.m. or anytime up
\nthrough 3:30 p.m.) to go out on assigned routes for food pick-up. Take a
\nlong route or a short route, no matter what; your help will be appreciated.
\nYou\u2019ll be given a map, and you will bring the food you gather back to the
\npantry.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Sorters to be stationed at the pantry from 11:30 a.m. through 5:30
\np.m., in two hour shifts. Feel free to stay as long as you like. The food
\npantry will supply water, soda, coffee or tea and PB&J sandwiches, along
\nwith hard work and a good time.<\/p>\n
Anyone wishing to volunteer to drive and pick up or sort donations can do
\nso by e-mailing Sally Lovett Boutin at kidsense@comcast.net or calling her
\nat 781-826-6485, or on her cell at 781-799-0053 (texting also available).<\/p>\n
Remember that all collected food stocks the shelves of our very own Hanover
\nFood Pantry for our friends and neighbors in need. The food that is
\ngathered each year at the Postal Workers Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
\nsees those in need through the summer when the churches, civic
\norganizations, schools and other groups stop or slow their regular
\ncollections. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
\nRegardless of your ability to volunteer to help that day, please don\u2019t
\nforget to donate your food to the town-wide drive on May 13th! <\/p>\n
