Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
The greatest energy of the Hanover Council on Aging is produced by
\nvolunteers. If it were not for them, it would be impossible to provide the
\nprograms and service that are currently available through the COA. They
\nare the backbone of the COA, and the COA appreciates the people who
\nvolunteer their time and talents. They always welcome new volunteers.
\nVolunteer as little as one hour a month to make a difference.<\/p>\n
Kitchen Help – help put together Meals on Wheels lunches as needed<\/p>\n
Medical Driver – transport residents to local medical appointments when the
\nC.O.A van is out of the area. (mileage reimbursed)<\/p>\n
Volunteer Driver – help pick-up food bank bags located in Brockton. Once a
\nmonth you will drive to Brockton to pick-up bags and transport them back to
\nthe C.O.A. (mileage reimbursed)<\/p>\n
Cook\/Food Prep – help prepare and serve meals for functions as needed.<\/p>\n
Special Events Team – help staff set-up (decorate, prepare coffee, set
\ntables and serve food as well as other instructions advised by Volunteer
\nCoordinator for that day and help with clean-up after event<\/p>\n
Administrative Support – answering phones, greeting visitors, stuffing
\nenvelopes, making copies, packets and other miscellaneous tasks that are
\nneeded.<\/p>\n
Gardening\/Weeding – help spruce up the flower beds\/butterfly garden and
\nwatering plants as needed<\/p>\n
Friendly Caller – reaching out to seniors in town, who may live alone and
\nneed a friendly voice to talk to and someone to brighten their day. <\/p>\n
