Flu is unpredictable. Even healthy children and adults can get flu and it
\ncan be serious. Protect yourself and those around you by getting your flu
\nvaccine this season. Flu vaccination is the best protection available
\nagainst flu. <\/p>\n
Everyone 6 months and older should get a yearly flu vaccine to reduce the
\nrisk of flu related illness, hospitalization, and even death. <\/p>\n
The Hanover Board of Health has scheduled a flu vaccine clinic to be held
\nat:
\nHanover High School, Cafeteria
\n287 Cedar Street
\nTuesday, October 10, 2017
\n2:00 to 4:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
Please note – the Board of Health will be offering 2 formulations of flu
\nvaccine this year: <\/p>\n
~High-Dose (HD) specifically for ages 65 and older, a trivalent vaccine
\nformulated for older adults <\/p>\n
~Quadrivalent vaccine, which provides protection against 4 strains of flu
\nvirus for ages 6 months and up.<\/p>\n
All persons will be asked to present an insurance card, which will cover
\nthe cost of the flu shot. No one will be turned away on the basis of
\ninsurance eligibility. Please remember to wear short sleeves. <\/p>\n
