In particular, generous donations received from the Tri<br \/>\nTown Rotary and Phoenix Lodge will make the holidays a little bit brighter<br \/>\nfor many Hanover families.<\/p>\n<p>Our shelves are kept stocked with weekly donations collected at Hanover<br \/>\nchurches, as well as from contributions from the North River Community<br \/>\nChurch and the Fellowship Baptist Church, Panera Bread, Shaw&#8217;s, Stop &amp;<br \/>\nShop, Council on Aging, Walnut Hill Garden Club, Wal-Mart, Hanover Woman&#8217;s<br \/>\nClub, Juniors, the Cushing residences, Girl Scouts, The Hanover Club,<br \/>\nHanover High, Middle and Elementary Schools, the Norwell School Bus<br \/>\nCollection as well as the annual U.S. Postal Workers Food Drive in May.<\/p>\n<p>We are grateful for financial assistance from local businesses, family<br \/>\ntrusts, the Congregational Church,  Arbella Insurance Company through<br \/>\nmatched or doubled donations from Bunker Insurance and Monaghan &amp; Tinkham<br \/>\nInsurance, along with the Lions Club, and the Altrusa International Group.<br \/>\nMonetary contributions allow us to purchase those items not donated and to<br \/>\nprovide gift cards so that our clients can purchase milk, eggs, cheese and<br \/>\nother refrigerated groceries.<\/p>\n<p>The Hanover Emergency Food Pantry assists an average of 34 people from 11<br \/>\nfamilies each and every week throughout the year. Each family is allowed<br \/>\nonly one visit per month, so quadruple those numbers and you can see that<br \/>\nthere is a significant, ongoing need in Hanover.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers are at the Pantry every Monday (Tuesdays on Monday holidays) to<br \/>\nreceive and shelve donations between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.  Wednesdays<br \/>\nwe are open from 12:30 p.m. &#8211; 2:30 p.m. for distribution to clients. <\/p>\n<p>Holiday Hours next week:  Monday 9:30 a.m. &#8211; 11:30 a.m. for intake and<br \/>\n12:30 p.m. &#8211; 2:30 p.m. for distribution.
